Happy Solstice
Happy Solstice In the north country we celebrate the winter solstice because it's a reminder of more sunlight to come. Today we will have less than 9 hours of daylight But it's the perfect time to wrap in a scarf and get lost reading a good mystery. This one takes place in northern Iceland and it seems that the characters go though one blizzard after another. And I'm in front of the fire with my feet up. Happy Solstice. But I'd be remiss if I didn't offer you all a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for a fun and stimulating year. And I don't want Modesty to suggest that I stopped being bold!

You're on the couch, trying to study. Still. And after spending the afternoon hard at it. I sit down on the chair across from you with the firm intention of distracting you. I'm going to do my best to ensure that you have some fun this weekend. I can see you glancing back and forth at me from the corner of your eye. finally, and I know you are fighting it, I see the twitch of a smile on your face. "OK" you said "get on over here". And so I did
